The finalists of the Paterna International Piano Prize has performed in the Salle Cortot in ParisBack

Eight of the winners in the First Paterna International Piano Prize have had the opportunity to participate in the opening concert of the 2011-2012 season of the Salle Cortot in Paris, as a gift from the Animato Association that represents the jury of the Paterna Prize, Marian Rybicki.

Accompanied by the artistic director of the award of Paterna, Juan Lago, and the president of the Alink-Argerich Foundation, Gustav Alink, the artistic director of the association offered this series of concerts to support the pianists who received the special prize in  Paterna´s Piano Prize as well as the winner of this first Prize. Thus, the session was a sign of the quality hosted in Paterna International Piano Prize.

Within the "Revelation" Tuesdays that program these acts, the semifinalists of Paterna International Piano Prize, Marina de Lucas, Bo Kyung Kim, Joseph Kim, Nikita Volov, Oleksandr Chugai and Ronald Noerjadi had the opportunity to be in the Paris Hall and provide separate concerts, along with third-placed Antonii Baryshevskyi and the winner of the first award of Paterna, Yedam Kim.

With pieces by Albéniz, Mendelssohn, Ravel, Brahms or Hëndel, these young pianists demonstrated once again the high quality of their performances, revalidating the deserved recognition obtained in Paterna. Each one will have the privilege of giving a concert during the upcoming 2011-2012 season.
