First Paterna International Piano PrizeBack

In light of Paterna’s musical history and tradition, the Council is pleased to announce the first Paterna International Piano Award, as a way of doubling its efforts to promote arts in the district.

From the 24^th to the 29^th April 2011, the world’s best pianists will assemble in the Antonio Cabeza Auditorium, for the most important arts event of the year.  

This first edition of the competition also aims to highlight the Spanish classics by awarding two special prizes to the best performance of Spanish music and the best Spanish pianist. There will be four other prizes and an intense week of classical music, showcasing the best works of the greatest composers such as Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven or Chopin.
